About me
Hello - I'm Grace, an independent funeral celebrant
Planning a truly special ceremony to honour a person you have lost is an act of love. I am a funeral celebrant because I believe every life deserves to be celebrated, and every grieving family deserves to be treated with compassion and care. I know how much it means when a ceremony truly captures the person you’ve lost - when the words spoken sound like your person, when the music fits just right, and when everyone in that room feels connected to the person they are remembering. That's what I'm here to create with you.
I’ve spent over 20 years working in communications and events for charities and the public sector, and now I’m bringing the skills I’ve learned along the way into planning and delivering meaningful funeral services.
I'm not just here to deliver a script on the day. I'm here to listen to your stories, your memories, all the little details that made your loved one who they were. I want to know about them - the way they laughed, what got them up in the morning, and what it was like to be loved by them.
I'll guide you through the planning at whatever pace feels right, and I'll be a calm, steady presence on the day itself, so you can focus on being with the people you love and saying goodbye.
I'm based in east London and work across the city and surrounding areas. I'm proud to work with families of all backgrounds, beliefs and traditions, and I'll always create a ceremony that reflects your values and your person.

Working with me
Planning a funeral while you're grieving is hard. I'll help you navigate the choices - readings, music, structure, tributes - so nothing feels overwhelming. I will work closely with your funeral director and ensure it all goes smoothly in the run up and on the day.
What to expect when you get in touch
A calm, unhurried conversation. No pressure - just a chance to talk about what you need and how I might be able to help.
What happens next?
If you decide I am the right celebrant for you, then the next step is a meeting, in-person or online. This meeting is my chance to find out all about your loved one and help you decide what kind of service feels right. After this I will go away and work on a script for the day, crafting your words into a story that reflects what I’ve learned about your loved one, and captures what you want to share about them. We can work together to make sure I’ve got it right before the day itself - I am here to support you.
On the day of the service
On the day itself I will lead the ceremony, welcoming everyone and ensuring that we give your loved one a wonderful send off.
